Today I made my 3rd visit to İstanbul Biennal and took some shots. Just like the other past 3 the main venue was the old antrepo building in the port complex which is a very nice constructivist looking building in Istanbul that I blogged the part which is near by the street before. And just like the other years my excursion began there. It was a little bit cold but it worths when you see the whole exhibiton.
Especially this year there were a lot of images from soviet period in exhibition. the second destination of biennal verified that situation. in the second venue tobacco depot a big part of the space was used to present the artworks explaining the late soviet period. and there were constructivist styled paintings of Lenin and some other tracks from USSR.
in the antrepo building a part of exhibition was including pictures from old izmir. And in the pictures I saw a building and it really interested me a lot. I will explore it later and maybe if I can be able to make a visit to izmir I want to see the building's situation of today and take some pictures.
a picture from tobacco depot venue on the roof floor. There was a cat standing out of the window just behind the poster of the exhibition. with the sunlight it becames a part of the exhibition awareless :)
I ended the day with a nice and short voyage from eminönü to üsküdar and took a picture of the exhibition venue, antrepo near by the bosphorus.
